La Lanta Fine Art Presents Works by Three Renowned Thai Painters
La Lanta Fine Art is hosting an exhibition featuring works by three outstanding Thai painters who have steadily risen to the forefront of the national art scene. The new group show, “The Man’s Phases,” includes art by Attasit Pokpong, Narakorn Sittites and Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew, exhibition runs from January 16 till March 3.
Known for their mastery in figurative painting, the three artists examine the laws of nature in The Man’s Phases through a metaphorical observation of the link between our lives and the nature of the moon. We are peripheral to others in the same way that the moon is peripheral to the earth. We all seek light to illuminate ourselves—and so does the moon. We rotate our thoughts around ourselves and others, as the moon rotates on its axis and orbits around the earth.
The artists reflect on how we define ourselves, suggesting it might be completely different from how others define us. Each person owes it to herself or himself to seek the answer to peace within one’s inner self.
The works shine a new light on the idea of life. One discusses the fragility of hope, while another attempts to define the meaning of life, and yet another presents idealistic beauty. Each of the three artists operates within his own rotation circle while gravitating towards one another to tell a story.
“The Man’s Phases” runs from January 16 until March 3. The exhibition can also be viewed online at www.lalanta.com
