The proprietor of FKA Black Amber in Thonglor showcases one of his favourite pours: the complex and aromatic FKA Negroni.

With 25 years of experience in the bar industry, including 15 in Asia, Carson Quinn knows what works. The global brand ambassador for the award-winning (and locally distilled) Iron Balls Gin worked with Bangkok nightlife legend Ash Sutton to create the brand. Quinn is also the proprietor of FKA Black Amber, one of Thonglor’s hippest under-the-radar cocktail bars.

“I like the FKA Negroni because of its complex flavours, stunning aroma and the way it lets the Iron Balls Gin really shine through,” he says. With bars still shut amid the pandemic, this is the perfect drink to make for a sophisticated night at home.

FKA Negroni

Recipe:

40ml Iron Balls Gin

20ml Grifoll red vermouth

15ml Dolin Americano

2 drops of dried mandarin skin bitters

Absinthe mist (Garnish)

Green orange peel (Garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Stir all ingredients and strain over a large ice block
  2. Garnish
  3. Enjoy!
